Stretch Goal Unlocked - Legendary Chapter!

Hi everyone,

Did you know it is Day 10 of this campaign? In amazing news, it is ALSO the day we hit 10x our initial funding goal! Reaching £100,000 is an enormous milestone, so it seemed fitting to mark it with an epic stretch goal. Read on to find out what we have in store to celebrate! 

"Legendary" New Chapter

Reaching this target means we can now add an extra chapter of content for higher level parties (level 9 and above). We're calling this chapter "Legendary Adventures", so if your group wants to take on sessions worthy of the history books, you'll have plenty of challenges to throw their way. This change is likely to add approximately 5-10% of content to the book, but the exact page count is still subject to change based on synopsis development and further stretch goals. All backers whose pledge includes a physical or digital edition of One-Shot Wonders will benefit from this stretch goal.

What's Next?

If we can raise another £50,000, we'll include an original world map in the book. This world can serve as an optional setting for any adventure from One-Shot Wonders. Each session idea will remain adaptable, so you can drop into your homebrew or official pre-existing worlds with ease. However, this pre-generated world will give you an alternative way to link standalone adventures in a consistent setting. If this stretch goal is unlocked, the map will be printed in the book, so anyone who has pledged for a digital or physical copy will benefit. Additionally, the map will also be made available as a separate add-on in the pledge manager, in both fold-out and digital formats.

New Pledge Level: Collector's Edition

Hi everyone,

This project has been an absolute blast so far! To be funded in 24 minutes and hit two of our stretch goals in the first 24 hours is incredible. Thanks so much, once again, for all of your support for One-Shot Wonders! 

We've had a number of queries and requests from backers regarding the collector's edition of the book, it seems to be a popular choice. I'm really excited that you like the design of the book as much as I do! I thought it would be helpful to break down how to secure this luxurious, leatherette, special edition of the book.

The collector's edition will be difficult to get your hands on after the campaign, as we will not be selling them on our website, and the print runs will be limited.

How To Pledge For A Collector's Edition

1. Pledge at the ONE-SHOT HEROES level. This will give you both editions of the book, plus some incredible extras, for an amazing saving of £108!

(New!) 2. Pledge at the COLLECTOR'S EDITION pledge level to receive the collector's edition as a standalone reward.

(New!) 3. Upgrade your HARDCOVER + PDF or HARDCOVER BUNDLE pledge by swapping your standard edition book to a collector's edition book. This can be done in the pledge manager, after the campaign has come to a close. Upgrading will cost £25 on top of the original price of your pledge level. 

4. Add a collector's edition book to your rewards directly in Kickstarter, or in the pledge manager after the campaign has ended.

A Note About Add-Ons

When pledging to our campaign on Kickstarter, backers are given the option to choose from a select number of add-ons to add to their rewards (extra copies of the book, or a set of dice). However, the full range of add-ons will be available in the BackerKit pledge manager after the campaign comes to a close, so don't worry if you can't see the add-ons you would like when pledging. There will be plenty of time to add rewards to your pledge after the campaign closes.

FULLY FUNDED! OUR ADVENTURE STARTS HERE

Hi everyone,

What a fantastic way to start the week – thank you all for joining us as we embark on our latest Kickstarter adventure!

One-Shot Wonders is a book that we are INCREDIBLY excited to share with you all. This concept, like all our projects, was born out of our desire to make game master resources that we would love to use ourselves. Based on the amazing response to the campaign already, we’re thrilled to see so many of you feel the same!

Record-breaking support

We never fail to be blown away by the support we receive from our backers. This project was fully funded in just 24 minutes, which has smashed our previous funding record of 48 minutes (for Roll & Play: The Fantasy Character Kit). Now we're almost 250% funded within the first 2 hours. 

We're thrilled to see a mixture of backers, some joining us from our previous projects and many others who are new to Roll & Play Press products. Thank you all for giving us your encouragement and trust to create and deliver quality products. Now we can confirm we are FULLY FUNDED, we’ll work hard to make One-Shot Wonders our best book yet.

What's next?

This is only the beginning of this story, so we’ll be sharing regular updates throughout the campaign. With your continued support, we have almost reached our first stretch goal, which will allow us to add beautiful gold foiling to all standard editions of the book.

Stretch Goal Unlocked - New Terrain Maps!

Hi everyone,

Once again, we're very excited to be sending another update so soon after our last one! We woke up this morning (in the UK) to discover you have helped us reach our second stretch goal! 

New Terrain Maps

Our terrain map bundle will now cover SIX diverse landscapes, with the addition of a coastal scene and an urban environment. Backers who have already pledged for the physical and/or digital Terrain Maps as part of the DIGITAL BUNDLE, HARDCOVER BUNDLE, or ONE-SHOT HEROES pledge tiers will automatically receive these extra maps. The separate Terrain Maps add-ons will also now include these extra two maps, as standard.

What's Next?

Based on the incredible early response to this campaign, we can now reveal two new stretch goals!

If we can reach £100,000, we will boost the number of session ideas in the book by adding a new "Legendary" chapter. This extra content will provide high-stakes session ideas for parties who are level 9 or above. If your group wants to fight titanic monsters or uproot tyrannical rulers, these ideas to are perfect to challenge them with! 

Looking further ahead, we would love to add a world map to the book by unlocking our £150,000 stretch goal; this can serve as an optional setting for your One-Shot Wonders adventures. Each session idea will remain adaptable, so you can drop into a pre-existing world with ease. However, this pre-generated world will give you the freedom to link standalone adventures and enhance your gameplay.

(Currently, the estimated page count of One-Shot Wonders is 200 pages, however this is subject to change during the editorial process and with the unlocking of stretch goals.)

Stretch Goal Unlocked – Hardcover Foiling!

Hi everyone,

Wow – we didn’t expect to be sharing another update so quickly! After only being live for two hours, we reached the target for our first stretch goal! And, we're already well on our way to unlocking another.

Hardcover Foiling

Thanks to your incredible support, we will now be able to upgrade the gold-coloured ink on One-Shot Wonders' standard edition cover to stunning gold foiling. We want to make sure this book is as visually beautifully as it is useful. GMs, your only problem is going to be not giving away all the session secrets when you show the book off to your party!

What's Next?

Thank you again for being here from the very beginning of this campaign. We’re excited to see how the next 30 days go! Please continue to share this project with your friends and fellow fantasy RPG fans. Together, we're on track to hitting our next goal and offering TWO additional terrain maps in both fold-out A2 poster format and as digital files.
